Overview

The Electronic Freedom of Information Act (eFOIA) system allows the public to submit FOIA requests and access federal agency records, ensuring citizens have efficient, reliable, and secure access to federal data and documents. 

Problem

Provide IT solutions and services to maintain, support, and modernize the eFOIA system. Lead the migration to Cloud One, ensuring it aligns with the BES mission to operate, integrate, and innovate. 

Solution

DTSI leveraged its expertise in supporting government transparency and combating corruption by developing a secure, cloud-based solution for record management and web applications. 

Key aspects included: 

• Using IT veterans skilled in eFOIA regulations and Department of Defense (DoD) technical infrastructure. 
• Implementing Agile and DevSecOps methodologies for continuous development, adaptive planning, and integrated security. 
• Migrating databases and web servers to a different system, improving performance and reducing costs. 
• Collaborating closely with clients to design, develop, implement, and support cloud solutions that meet operational needs and enhance system performance.
